PHNOM PENH — The opposition Cambodia
National Rescue Party will continue to demand a credible investigation
into allegations of fraud in July’s election, the party leader said
Wednesday.
The Rescue Party reopened political talks with the ruling Cambodian People’s Party earlier this week, in an effort to break through a political deadlock in place since the elections.
But Rescue Party President Sam Rainsy told supporters via Facebook on Wednesday the Rescue Party will continue to call for an investigation, as well as a recall election.
CPP officials declined to comment Wednesday.
